I'm an artist working in a variety of disciplines, principally digital art and motion pictures, but with a deep history in theater, film and performance. As a free lance designer I've created stages, lighting and public installations, as well as graphics, textiles and augmented and virtual realities.
I’ve been designing theatrical settings for decades, beginning in experimental theaters in New York and continuing in opera houses throughout Europe. In every case I've created both stage and light and whenever possible, sound and music.
This site presents a selection of my work, including images and objects that inspired my designs, plus a collection of drawings made for their own sake.
Most of my work is aimed at the wider public, but my films are not. New technology allows me to shoot movies as freely as I fill notebooks: with little preparation and much improvisation. I make these works with no thought of distribution or even of the viewer, beyond myself.
